Welcome Note from the Chairperson

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the International Congress on Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Strategies, taking place from 16–18 April 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.

Infectious diseases continue to pose profound challenges to global health, and the accelerating threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) demands urgent, coordinated, and innovative responses. This congress provides a vital platform to bring together researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the world to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and strengthen collaborations aimed at combating global infections.

Under the theme “Combating Global Infections Through Innovation and Collaboration,” this meeting will highlight cutting-edge research, advances in surveillance and diagnostics, antimicrobial stewardship strategies, and policy-driven solutions that are essential to preserving the effectiveness of existing antimicrobials while fostering the development of new approaches.

I am confident that the scientific discussions, keynote lectures, and interactive sessions over these three days will inspire meaningful dialogue and actionable outcomes that contribute to improved global health security. I encourage all participants to actively engage, collaborate across disciplines, and build partnerships that extend beyond this congress.

I wish you a productive, insightful, and rewarding conference experience, and I look forward to the valuable contributions and shared commitment that will emerge from this gathering.
